Nail it down

The Bible says what we are and what we are not. For those of you who are really seeking to see others come to Christ, you must see what the Bible says about you.

Ephesians 2:19 ► "Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God's people and also members of his household".

We are no longer what one translation calls 'aliens'. If we are citizens of God's kingdom, then, we are aliens here on this earth but members of His household.

1 Peter 2:11-Dearly beloved, I implore you as aliens and refugees, abstain from fleshly lusts, which wage war against the soul.

Once we have placed our faith in Christ and are growing in Him, you may have felt it or you will-we just do not belong here. It is not our home.

But-we have been given much work to do while we are here. Ephesians 2:10>For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

So, who are you exactly-right now? You are the one God says you are. We are aliens in this world but members of God's household. We walk in His light where there is no darkness. We are children of God and bear his mark.

Ephesians 1:13 In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit,

Peter would not have written the following if it was not possible. So, practice.

2 Peter2:10 Therefore, brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you practice these things you will never stumble, 11and you will receive a lavish reception into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.…

1 John 3:See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are. The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him. 2 Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. 3 And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

Nail it down-know who you are.

Father in Heaven,

I give you, again, my mind; I take up my cross; make me constantly aware of Your Lordship of my Life and who I really am.

Great Father-great God-mighty and everlasting!!
