Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…
Memory verse: Jeremiah 15:19 ESV
Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.”
Verse of the day: Jeremiah 17:9-10
9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick, who can understand it? 10 “I the Lord search the heart and test the mind, to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds.”
Look At The Birds
Matthew 6:26 is where Jesus says, “Look at the birds…”
It is recorded that there are 10,906 species of birds in our world-over 50 billion birds and God provides for them all and always has. So, consider how vast is His provision for birds that do not earn a living as we do. They don’t plant; they simply harvest.
Jesus asked in that same breath, “Are you not worth much more than the birds?” They tell us that there are 1.6 billion sparrows and none of them worry and hoard like they are preparing for hard times. Their numbers alone tell me of God’s provision.
Romans 8:32 says in essence that if God gave His Son for us, how will He not give us everything else we need?
God is not going anywhere...He will never leave us or forsake us. (Deuteronomy 31:6; Hebrews 13:5). If Christ does not come between now and then, God will always be here in the morning.
The question for us is, “Will we be aware of God or will our hearts be weighed down with worry about paying the next bill we get?”
“Will we awaken treasuring God or longing for more from the world?”
Your answer shows your priorities. As a Christ follower, we have only one priority-obedience for the Master we love.
Tell Him. Tell God what is on your mind. 1 Peter 5:6&7 tells us to humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand and cast all our worries on Him-and He will lift You up in His timing.
Tell and trust-trust and obey-love God-love yourself-love your neighbor. Be awake-confess and live free in Christ.
Pour yourself into your relationship with Him.
...because He loves us...He will do it…
Father in Heaven,
Hallowed be Your name in my heart as I seek Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Increase my desire to stay conscious of You and increase my faith. Forgive my laziness. Lead me away from evil.
God who flies above and meets me in my trouble,
In the name of Christ Jesus my Lord,
Amen
