Good morning, Lord

Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.”

Verse of the day:  Romans 12:3

3 “For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.”

Life Is More

In Matthew 6:25, Jesus says, “Do not worry about Your life...(of course)life is more than food and the body is more than clothing.”

In verse 33 He says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness.”

This is the divine and righteous alternative to worry. Jesus always provides His way to victory over a problem. This problem of worry is well defeated by consistently seeking God’s kingdom and His righteousness. Our problem is inconsistency.

Three things we lose without food and clothing which brings anxiety:

>pleasure-food tastes good

>human praise for nice clothes

>physical protection from starving or freezing

But real life is more than food and clothing. Jesus died for greater things

> enjoying God-being rich toward and with God-(Luke 12:21)

> Being able to glory in the love God has for each of us.(John 5:44)

>Living in and looking forward to eternal life in Christ. John 3:16

We receive from God what we could not win or work for. God provides all we ever need(Romans 8:32).

The love and the joy in Christ goes to eternity with us.

Whatever it is you worry over-you can’t take it with you. If you can’t take the worry with you, why do you work so hard to carry it? Life is more…

Our work is to stay centered in Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit and seek the kingdom of God and live a life of worship. This love goes on forever.

Confess your ‘worry’.

...because He loves us…

Father in Heaven,

I want to hallow Your name and seek Your kingdom. Increase my affections for You so my heart sings to You today. Forgive me for my fear and worry. Lead me away from evil.

Great God and gentle Father,
