As We Walk

Wednesday, ‎July ‎1, ‎2020 Good morning, Lord V.O.D.: Zechariah 14:9 New King James Version And the Lord shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be— “The Lord is one,” And His name one. M.O.M.: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27 Today's reading: Job 22-24 Acts 11

As We Walk

1 John 1:7 ►But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

If we walk in the light, we walk in God. If we walk in the darkness we do not walk in God.

But if we start out walking in God and stumble and cease to walk in the light--and keep moving without facing the truth--then we continue our movement outside of God.

We move. One way or the other we move. If we move outside of God, it is emptiness. There is an entire world that tries to act happy and full. The enemy tries to present a path that is truth and calls God's path old and antiquated, useless and meaningless.

There is no truth in this and we know it.

If I stumble and fall I try to pick up my feet and watch where I am going so as to not stumble again. We all do this. We have known how to walk for a long time and we have known how to learn from stumbles past. This is a physical truth from which we cannot escape.

Then why do we try to escape the truth-the real truth?

The real truth is that God has written His laws on our hearts and filled us with His Holy Spirit and if we walk in Him we will not stumble.

The truth tells us in 1 John 1:8-10 we do not have to call God a liar and walk in darkness and sin.

The truth says that we do not have to lie to ourselves.

The truth says that we can confess our sins and walk away free in the light and in Him.

The truth says that if we walk and stumble that we can confess and keep on walking in God and in the truth.

The truth is we need to embrace the truth...

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven, I desire Your light and truth-increase this desire and forgive me my laziness. You are our great and mighty God! In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord Amen
