Ye-shei-ziv

Saturday, ‎August ‎20, ‎2022 Good morning, Lord Verse of the Day: 1 John 5:12 He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life Memory verse: Romans 12:1: Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Today's reading: PSALM 105-106 1 CORINTHIANS 3 Ye-shei-ziv Daniel 3:16-18 16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, "King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty's hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up." In Daniel 3:17, these three men said, "He will deliver us". That is our title for today-'Ye-shei-ziv'. "He will deliver (us)". The 'us' is understood or suggested, but we will understand that they were speaking of God's ability to deliver them. "He will deliver." Look into your mirror or look into your soul-however that works for you-and answer this question:"Do I believe that God will deliver me no matter what-no matter how long I have to wait?" We all have things going on in our lives about which we are worried even if just a little. But why? Why are we worried if we believe God will deliver us? If you are born again in Christ, and you worry about nothing, congratulations. You have arrived and we thank God for you. And yes, the rest of us have the same Holy Spirit in our lives and we have the same written word of God to study but we cannot so easily let go of the 'bother'. It is that stuff that we fret over. So, the rest of us, let's look at what God's word says: Matthew 6:25-34 (Jesus said)25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life? Philippians 4:6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. So why is it so hard to say, "God will deliver us"? I think one big reason is that we are so inexperienced at praising God. 'Praising' means we tell of all His great works. Psalm 105: 1 Give thanks to the Lord and pray to him. Tell the nations what he has done. 2 Sing to him. Sing praises to him. Tell about all the wonderful things he has done. 3 Be glad that you are his. Let those who ask the Lord for help be happy. 4 Depend on the Lord and his strength. Always go to him for help. What are the wonderful things He has done? I am not talking about all the great things in the Bible although this can be part of your praise. I am talking about all the great things He has done in your life. 1. He has blessed us (Ephesians 1:3). 2. He has chosen us (Ephesians 1:4). 3. He has predestined us (Ephesians 1:5 &11). 4. He has made us accepted (Ephesians 1:6). 5. He has redeemed us (Ephesians 1:7). 6. He has abounded toward us (Ephesians 1:8). 7. He has made known unto us (Ephesians 1:9). 8. He has given us an inheritance (Ephesians 1:11,14). 9. He has sealed us with the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13). 10. He promises He will never leave us. (Matthew 28:20) Take time to see what the Bible says God has done for you/us. And tell Him how thankful you are. Do this over and over. Praising God is the foundation for growing faith. We must learn how. Having said this, things happen to folks we love and we are concerned. Back up-learn to take a breath and know that God feels their pain-and ours-all of it-and will meet all our needs in Christ Jesus.(Philippians 4:19) We must praise. Why? Ye-shei-ziv-He will deliver... ...because He loves us... Father in Heaven, Forgive me for not knowing how to praise. Teach me and show me how to live in confident faith as I learn how to say "Ye-shei-ziv". Great and mighty God of deliverance. In the name of Christ Jesus, Amen
