Good morning, Lord

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.

Trusting And Learning

We all know what it is like to not put our trust in someone who has proven they will let you down. A lot of us have learned this the hard way. We trust someone to deliver on a promise and they fell short of the mark. But what if that person has been you? What if we have been the one who has fallen short of expectations? I know I have and this is a horrible feeling. Earning someone's lost trust back is a long and hard road.

Proving your love to someone-that's what this is all about. We want them to know that our love for them is something that will never let them down. This yearning to be trusted is as deep as any emotion we will feel in this world.

What about when we sin? We have fallen short of God's mark. God-the one we are to love with all we are. We have let Him down. But how seriously do we really take this?

This feeling is why many work so hard to prove themselves to God but God's love is not like our earthly understanding. You see, because of what we have experienced here on this earth, either by being disappointed by folks we have trusted or by being the one who has lost the trust of others by personal failure, we feel as if we have to work our way back into God's graces. But this is not God's way.

God's love keeps no record of wrongs done by us, 1 Corinthians 13:5.

The Bible says if we confess our sins to Him, he is faithful and just(will do what He says He will do) and will forgive us-but not only that-He will take away our sin and purify us.

1 John 1:9 ►If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

There is nothing we can do to get rid of our sins except confess. The hardest part of this is putting our trust in Him to do what He says He will do. The hurts we have experienced here have put a wall of distrust up around us and we have allowed this to happen. But God is free of the wickedness of this earth. His heart knows no evil of its own. He has no motive but pure love and that pure love is all for you-for all of us. Jesus died so that we could know His pure love-so we could know the truest love-the love that looks past our sin and weaknesses and puts trust in us to return to Him.

Yes, I believe God trusts us. Not because of anything we have done to earn that trust, but because we have placed our trust in Him-His trust is returned in the form of His complete, unconditional love. He loves us no matter what and trusts us to return to Him to confess so He can wipe it all away again and again. God trusts us to trust Him. His hope for us and in us is endless.

No one believes in you in the divine and complete way that God does because His love is perfect.

Trust in Him. Love Him with all you are. Ask Him for your own understanding of His complete love and forgiveness. No matter what you have done to break God's trust-it cannot be done. God is patiently waiting for you to trust Him enough to return to Him.

And there it is. God will never fail you. Run back-stop whatever reluctant thoughts you may have and trust God with all that you are-all you have-everything.

God's love for us is perfect and endless.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for not trusting You. I see that Your love is perfect. I throw myself on Your mercies. Forgive me. Thank You for purifying me-no matter what the enemy says.

Endlessly loving and trusting and hoping God,

In the name of Jesus,

Amen
