The Truth Must Be Seen

‎Saturday, ‎May ‎21, ‎2022

Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Romans 15:5-6

Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, that you may with one mind and one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Memory of the Month: Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Today's reading: 1 CHRONICLES 13-15 JOHN 7:1-27

The Truth Must Be Seen In Us

It made sense to them, we suppose, because of some of the old teachings. They said, "...when the Messiah comes, no one will know where he is from.”(John 7:27)

It makes no good sense to us now. When we look at the statement, we think, "Of course we will know when the Messiah comes and where He comes from."

They were speaking of geography-physical location. They really had no idea of spiritual things. They had seen a few miracles but the teachings of Jesus were on a completely different level.

Jesus wanted them to believe-not based on signs and wonders but on Him.

The world today thinks it knows where Jesus comes from just like those people thought they knew. Today, they think Jesus is a fairy tale. Then, they only thought of Jesus from Nazareth.

Today, the truth must be seen in us. It takes much prayer and it takes obedience. It takes the Holy Spirit of God moving through us for the world to see who Jesus really is and to believe where He really comes from.

The enemy uses philosophy and deception to obscure the truth: Colossians 2 says: 8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. 9For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form.

It was all right there in front of them and many could not see.

So, we must continue to go and tell and pray and love searching for those who will see.

John 1:16

From His fullness we have all received grace upon grace.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

1 Corinthians 16:13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Make me bold for my witness of you. Forgive me my weak will and let me depend totally on you.

God of mercy and strength!

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
