Good Morning, Lord

V.O.D.:  Luke 1:26-28 New King James Version

Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”

M.O.M.:  Ephesians 4:31

31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.(English Standard Version)

Today's reading: AMOS 1-3 REVELATION 6

The Right Place

Isaiah 6 tells of an encounter, a holy vision, in which Isaiah sees God, sees Seraphim(Heavenly Hosts) flying and singing praises to God. The train of God's robe was so big that it filled the temple. The entire place was shaking and filled with smoke.

Isaiah's response was quick and clear: "I am a man of sin".

God's response was also quick. He sent one of the Seraphim to take a hot coal from the alter and symbolically burn Isaiah's sin away from his lips and it was done.

God said, "I have work to be done; whom can I send?"

Isaiah says, "Send me".

From knowing guilt and confessing to experiencing forgiveness and offering himself in God's service-this was quite the experience for Isaiah.

It all started with Isaiah's being in the right place-wherever it was, it was the right place. Isaiah's heart was in the right place and, still, he confessed. He was in the middle of praise and worship; he saw God; he confessed;his sins were forgiven; he gave his life to God's service.

Jesus prayed with people around Him and he went off to lonely places to pray-He was always in the right place.

What does it take for you to be in the right place-the place where you see your sin in the presence of God? This is another reason that prayer is neglected. We must deal with our sin and move on in God's work. Get to the right place...

John was in the right place when he saw and heard this:

Revelation 5:11 Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering myriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice,

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,

to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might

and honor and glory and blessing!”

13 And I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,

“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb

be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”

14 And the four living creatures said, “Amen!” and the elders fell down and worshiped.

Oh, for the day when we all find ourselves in the right place. That we could all personally know, first hand, what praise and worship is in our own private times. The right place, first, is alone-seeking God in solitary places. When we know that reality, God will lead into real ministry.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Help me always to be in the right place or to seek it so I may experience You are working in my life so I feel free to say, I am here, send me. Forgive me my fear.

“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,

to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might

and honor and glory and blessing!”

In Jesus' name,

Amen
