  Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Romans 8:1-2

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.

Memory verse: Psalm 90:14

14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

The Lord is Good

Luke 18:19 ends with Jesus saying, "No one is good--except God alone."

But grab this truth with all your being:

Micah 6:

8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.

And what does the Lord require of you?

To act justly and to love mercy

and to walk humbly with your God.

Act justly- Only God is good, so, do what is right in God's eyes. Some say that this is much easier said that done but if we put down our weapons of self-preservation,(or stuff the world has said we need to be accepted), we can act justly or do what is good.

Love mercy- The next time you see a TV news cast that has a person that has done something horrible, practice not judging him all the way to sentencing in a heartbeat...

Walk humbly before your God-I believe that if we truly walk with God that it is impossible not to be humble...so why all the pride?

Nahum 1:

7 The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him. Trust in Him...

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven, Righteous God,

Forgive me for looking over the simple but profound Holy Word. Keep me in humbling experiences.
