Good morning, Lord

Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.”
Verse of the day: Psalm 19:1-2
19 The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.2 Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.
In That Day
“Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man! Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven; for so their fathers did to the prophets.” Luke 6:22–23
It is really hard for us in this day and time to grasp the real meaning of what Jesus said there-”Rejoice... and jump for joy! For great is your reward in Heaven”.
In that day-that day-the day we realize how great our reward is in heaven. Jesus does not describe what the joy is because, I believe, the reward is simply being with Him. But this joy is not simple-it is profoundly eternal. This reward is so great, Jesus says, “Jump for joy”.
Jesus tells us not to quench our feelings for Him. Don’t hold back-let it go.
He says this in reference to the days we are most persecuted-not on the days of great victories.
“Blessed are you when people hate you and when they exclude you and revile you and spurn your name as evil...jump for joy”
There can be no excess in enjoying Jesus-no gluttony-only joy. But the opposite is, I believe, sin.
Stoic legalism in following rules brings pain and emptiness, hate and cruelty.
Trying too hard to be happy-fake laughter, empty smiles is a dead end-superficial and nominal faith.
Tell God that you have never felt emotion for Christ that brings that great emotion-tell Him. Tell Him you want to enjoy Him that much. Tell Him. This means you want Him to mean more to you that anything here on earth.
...because He loves us...He will do it…
Father in Heaven,
I want to feel like jumping when I hallow your name. I want my soul to dance before you as King David danced. I choose to remove all my reservations and be free in Your Spirit. Forgive me for not embracing Your truth about Your joy.
God of all true joy,
