Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Jeremiah 15:19 ESV

Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.”

Verse of the day: Philippians 3:20

20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,

Today’s Reading: Ezra 9-10 Acts 1

Desiring The Visit

Summertime brings excitement to grandparents for the coming visit with the children and grandchildren. We see it all around us. The grandparents go there or the grandchildren come here after grand plans have been made-to go to the movies together-to go to the river together-to make certain meals together-the point being to have delightful experiences together.

This is all because of one thing-one word-LOVE. I am so excited to see my grandchildren and they are so excited when they finally see grandma and me that they laugh and run and reach and giggle and hug. This is sheer delight on both sides. All that anticipation-all that hope that it all happens-has been realized. The most precious time in all the visit is the time spent face to face-eye to eye with each one-our attentions on each other.

“We rejoice in hope of the glory of the glory God” Romans 5:2

“God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us” (Rom. 5:5)

God loves us endlessly and is patient with us. He is perfect in His excitement about His creations(us) taking time to meet with Him secretly.

Isaiah 30:18-"Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you; therefore He rises to show you compassion, for the LORD is a just God. Blessed are all who wait for Him."

This brings us to a very real prayer need-an excitement to be in God's presence-the anticipation that exceeds any desire we have on this earth.

If you have this great desire, then pass this on to someone else, But if your desire-as mine-falls short of the glory of God, then make it a deep matter of prayer. God will not fail You-ever.

He will fill You with great delight over the next visits you plan to have with Him-in the hope of His glory-God does not disappoint.

...because He loves us...He will do it...

Father in Heaven,

Your name is above all names and ,Lord, teach me to honor you more and to be filled with excitement to meet with You in Your kingdom glory. I ask for Your bread for today, Your forgiveness and for me a spirit of forgiveness as I depend on You for power to battle sin.

God of all glory and all hope and all love,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
