The Hardest Work

‎Friday, ‎October ‎15, ‎2021

Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Ephesians 2:6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,

Memory of the Month:Proverbs 15:1-A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Today's reading:  ISAIAH 45-46 1 THESSALONIANS 3

The Hardest Work

Paul tells the Thessalonian Christians that he sent Timothy to them to strengthen and encourage them in the faith so that none would be unsettled by the persecution and trials that were certain to happen and did happen.

In Colossians 3:23- Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.

In whatever we do the work always starts in our hearts and is finished in our hearts. The fact that attitude is central to all victory will never change. Attitudes can change and God is the only one who can change our attitudes for the kingdom--if that is really what we want. If your desire is weak to seek God's paradigm, it is just 'enemy sickness'-a sickness of sin. We buy into it because we think the desire for righteousness is natural like the natural desires of this world. But our hearts must be committed to God before He will give us the desires He wants us to have in our hearts.

Psalm 37:4-6

4 Delight yourself in the LORD, and He will give you the desires of your heart. 5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in Him, and He will do it. 6 He will bring forth your righteousness like the dawn, your justice like the noonday sun.…

Be delighted to have the chance to think as God wants is only the first step. We must commit...

We must then have a goal of 'having a Godly kingdom' attitude or paradigm. An earthly living paradigm is hard to filter out but with much steady prayer, meditation, scripture reading and memory work this paradigm can and will be changed.

In the process of this change, trials will most certainly come. The enemy will not sit idly by while he loses ground in even one heart. So what happens if we become 'unsettled' as Paul calls it in 1 Thessalonians 3:3 by these trials? We turn and face God immediately, confess it, and again walk away clean and, I believe the scripture teaches, stronger because we walk away with Him.

Isaiah 45:24-They will say of me, ‘In the LORD alone

are deliverance and strength.’

The hardest work we will always do is in our hearts because this dictates our state of mind and because the enemy, a liar, tells us we don't need to work that hard--- and because

--Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:

The Holy Spirit will never take a day off...

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for listening to the lies of this world. I commit my ways to You because I want your desires to be my own. I want to use the mind of Christ constantly-to live there.

Majestic and grand God of the Ages,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
