Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.—John 1:12-13

Memory verse: Philippians 4:8 ►Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

The Color of Life


What is our part? What is your part? What is my part? What do we do as we see all this unrest in our country over race and politics? What do you feel when you hear someone say a certain color of skin matters?


It would be shallow to think that color does not matter in this world because it simply does matter-in this world. But we are to come out and be different.


2 Corinthians 6:17 ►New International Version

Therefore, "Come out from them and be separate, says the Lord. Touch no unclean thing, and I will receive you."


What is to us the 'unclean thing"? The Bible says, that if something is not of faith, it is sin, Romans 14:23. Jesus said to love God with all we are and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves, Matthew 22:37-39. So, if our response to any of these troubles is not in Godly faith-in Godly love, is our response unclean? In Biblical truth, yes.


If all color was removed and we could see only the soul(the part Jesus died for)of every human we meet, what color would a soul be?


"Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all sins" (Proverbs 10:12)


When love covers sin, what color is it?

Matthew 26:28 This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

The blood of Jesus is the pure color of love.

It is the color of reconciliation and peace in Colossians 1:20.

It is the color of redemption and forgiveness, Ephesians 1:7.

Love is the color of a clean conscience, Hebrews 9:14.

The blood of Jesus is the color of fellowship and purification, 1 John 1:7.

It is the color of our confidence in the presence of God, Hebrews 10:19.

Hebrews 13:12-the color of Holiness.

Love, the blood of Jesus, is the color of freedom, Revelation 1:5.


The color of love is the color of God's way, God's truth, and God's life, John 14. It is not the color of the skin of any human being. It is the color of God's heart and that is the only one that matters.


So, how do we respond to racism and all the unrest that goes with it? We ask God and in His word He says,

"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." Micah 6:8


We must take all negatives captive. 2 Corinthians 10:5 ►

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. New International Version


A good goal for each of us is to reach a point where we say to ourselves, "If it is not in love, it is not allowed".


Pray for the nation but remember, "the nation will only be changed one heart at a time and that by God's own heart".


This begins with our own heart in the presence of our living, loving God. Pray for change in our country just after you pray for change in your heart. Pray to live in the color of Life. The color of God's heart.


...because He Loves us...


Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for seeing the color of anyone but You. Guide me to see with Your eyes.

Merciful and loving God,
