Super Conquerors

Good morning, Lord
Verse of the Day: Jeremiah 33:2-3
2 “Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it—the Lord is his name: 3 Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.
Memory verse: Psalm 90:14
14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
Today's reading: Psalm 70-71 Romans 8:22-39
Super Conquerors
Romans 8:37 says that we are 'more than conquerors' in Him who has loved us. I read this in the Complete Jewish Bible and it says ,
"No, in all these things we are super conquerors, through the one who has loved us."
So, I looked in the Greek to see where this comes from. The Greek word is 'huper'. This is where we get our word hyper. Hyper has several meanings but one said 'above and beyond' and another said 'highly active'.
Through Christ, then, we are highly active conquerors who go above and beyond.
Above and beyond what? In Christ and by His power we are empowered to go above what human beings are able-beyond what we think we can accomplish.
I think God is showing us that ,among other things, we should have a super attitude. This can only be a divine mindset generated by much time spent in the presence of God-a Holy Spirit mindset.
We are to be convinced by God that we can do whatever He puts in front of us to do.
In fact, in the next two verses, Paul says, "38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
He says it in Philippians 4:13
"I can do all things through him who strengthens me."
James speaks of this attitude, "for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing."(James 1:2-4)
Steadfastness means 'locked in'-never wavering.
Divine attitude is built by experience. As we move in Christ, we learn how to get up when knocked down-how to keep going when all seems hopeless because we know that God is greater or bigger than all opposition.
1 John 4: 4 You, little children, are from God and have overcome them, because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.
In Christ, we live a life in The Spirit that overcomes all the negatives-a life in Christ is a life of positives.
Seek Him while it is still called today(Hebrews 3:13).
...because He loves us...
Father in Heaven,
Build my attitude in Hallowing Your name, greatest God. I want Your kingdom attitude in all I do. Forgive me for allowing the negatives of the enemy to get in. I want all I do to bring You good pleasure.
Loving, joyful, and peaceful God,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
