Remember, Remind

Friday, February 21, 2025

Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-Your peace-Your knowledge and discernment. Build my trust. I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Psalm 139:23–24 (ESV)

23  Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! 24  And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

Verse of the Day: Romans 13:10 1 “Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”

Remember, Remind

Driving a dump truck for my Dad as a child, I learned how to judge the corners with a load on. I had to brake and ‘gear-down’ or there was a chance for a mishap. On the return trip, the same corners could be taken at a higher rate of speed. On one empty run, I was too fast and lost control in loose gravel and the truck went round and round until it stopped. The truck never left that old rock road and no damage was sustained. But-as frightened as I was, I had to keep going and finish the day. I never did that again-ever.(I never told my Dad-I was 13)

At 12 to 14 years of age, I never had a thought of God’s presence in my life. I had not been taught.

I need to be reminded everyday-every minute and in every situation that God never takes a break and is always in the middle of my life. This takes training.

One thing we should all do is learn God’s promises so we can hold on to His strength and make it through the day.

* He will never leave us-Hebrews 13:5

*He gives us all we need-Philippians 4:19

* Nothing can separate us from His love-Romans 8:38–39

* For us who are called, God works all for ur good-Romans 8:28

* God has good plans for our future (Jeremiah 29:11) and is transforming us into the image of Christ(Romans 8:29)

In response to these reminders, we must stand firm in this: that even if the worst happens, we will still cry out in adoration-filled worship.(2 Chronicles 20:9 )

s‘If disaster comes upon us, the sword, judgment,3 or pestilence, or famine, twe will stand before this house and before you—ufor your name is in this house—and cry out to you in our affliction, and you will hear and save.’

Remember? Remind yourself.

...because He loves us…

Father in Heaven,

Your name is complete faithfulness. Your kingdom is our home. Fill me with resolve to obey. Give me Your bread for today and the desire to love by Your word. Forgive me my stubborn mind. Lead me away from anger and bad emotion.

Tender and complete Father,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
