Verse of the Day: Hebrews 12:28
Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear.
Memory verse: Philippians 4:8 ►Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Today's reading: EZEKIEL 27-29 1 PETER 3
Precious Faith
We who believe have all received a faith-a precious faith.(2 Peter 1)
He writes this part of the letter so believers of all times will know to continually seek to be right with God.
Peter writes 2 Peter 1:3 "His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. 4 Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.
This is all so amazing; God's very own divine power has given us everything we need-great and precious promises that we may take part in the divine nature-God's divine nature-escaping the world's corruption.
I don't know about you but if I was a judge-judging me-I would be found guilty. But in Christ, because of what Christ has done for us, I am, we all are found not guilty in Him. But---we must check up--we must check our hearts and lives by His word-daily-by the Holy Spirit-all the time.
Peter continues:verse 5,
For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; 6 and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; 7 and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. 8 For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.
10 Therefore, my brothers and sisters, make every effort to confirm your calling and election. For if you do these things, you will never stumble,
But we all stumble...1 John 1:8-10 If we claim that we’re free of sin, we’re only fooling ourselves.
A claim like that is errant nonsense. On the other hand, if we admit our sins—confess before Him—he won’t let us down; he’ll be true to himself. He’ll forgive our sins and purge us of all wrongdoing. If we claim that we’ve never sinned, we out-and-out contradict God—make a liar out of him. A claim like that only shows our ignorance of God.
Be truthful with yourself and with Him. Get face to face with the greatest love you will ever know-the love that knows all about you and loves without reservation.

My life is before You. Search my heart before me. Forgive my weakness and fill me with Your power!
