Good morning, Lord

Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Never Tire


"Great Minds Discuss Ideas, Average Minds Discuss Events, Small Minds Discuss People." Admiral Rickover said this first and then Elanor Roosevelt.


Yet another election is approaching, whether we like it or not, to hear one news person after the other discuss the personalities of the candidates and the great majority of what we hear is bad. What we must endeavor to do is to keep our feet on the rock while all this is going on and not get sucked into the enemy's jet stream of lies and hate. Remember your faith. The Holy Spirit is in you.

"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you."— Isaiah 26:3 (NIV)


Find out what you can about each candidate and vote for the highest moral ground. We are dealing with this world in an election. We are not voting on who controls Heaven-that never changes. God never changes.


My point is that every time we see or hear the word 'vote', we need to automatically think 'pray'. We are not of this world.


Jesus prayed to His Father for us and said, "I am not asking that You take them out of the world, but that You keep them from the evil one. 16They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world. 17Sanctify them by the truth; Your word is truth.…", John 17.


We must live and operate here but not love what the world says to love.

1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.


The Bible says for us to take captive the thoughts of all things that are in opposition to God, 2 Corinthians 10:5.


But it is aggravating and sometimes infuriating if we allow it. We have to remember this:

4The weapons of our warfare are not the weapons of the world. Instead, they have divine power to demolish strongholds, 2 Corinthians 5.


See the word vote, pray. Hear the word vote, pray. The nation is trying to get everyone to vote. God wants us all to pray.

1 Thessalonians 5:17-"Pray without ceasing."


We are to never tire of doing it.

13 And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good. 2 Thessalonians 3.


How many doors have been knocked on to urge people to vote? How many doors have been knocked on to simply urge people to pray?


It does not matter who sits in the oval office if the people don't bow to the throne of God. (It does not matter who is president if the people have the wrong shepherd.)


Never tire of telling the truth. Jesus is Lord. Never tire of talking to God about all our people who are in control. Never tire of praying for all our enemies who wish us gone. Never tire of doing what is right.


There is no record of Jesus ever voting. There are a lot of references to His praying. You cannot fix TV personalities. The only personality you can change is your own when you are under the Lordship of Christ.


Never tire of seeking God. Pray, vote, pray, pray, pray.


...because He loves us...


Father in Heaven,

I confess that I lose my temper at all this talk about candidates and elections on TV. Teach me how to embrace your peace and be still before You and let You fill my mind with what You want there.

Mighty God greater than any intellect.
