Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Hebrews 12:2

looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Memory of the Month: John 10:27-28

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Today's reading: JUDGES 19-21 LUKE 7:31-50

Love Much

Luke 7:36-50-Someone always complains and always misunderstands God's love

The woman was a sinful woman. That is all we know about her. She was a woman who was held in the lowest regard. She was, in the 'high' mind of a fancy Pharisee, the lowest of the lowest. Yet there she was in his house carrying on, in the eyes of the Pharisee, trying to win the favor of this teacher.

The Pharisee thought, ‘if this man(Jesus) were a prophet….he would know that the woman who is touching him is a sinner!”’.

Jesus heard his thought. He knew that the Pharisee did not get it. This woman was in awe of the son of man. She felt sorry for her sin and was expressing her grief over her sinful life. In her ignorance she may have been trying to win his favor, (which she did not have to do), but she knew who Jesus was.

This is how it is-The world hates—Christ loves.

The world, controlled by the enemy, tries to destroy all roads that lead to life.

Almighty God empowers the body of Christ to make straight the crooked paths. We are to clear all obstacles to the true God.

The world, like the Pharisee, just does not get it. The world, like the Pharisee, judges. They numb their own guilt by harshly judging others-always finding fault. They reject the idea of someone 'lower' than they receiving forgiveness.

Jesus said(Luke 7)47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”

48 Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

49 The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”

50 Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Pray for the lost to catch a glimpse of the love God has for them...from your life. Pray for them who love little-who ignore their own sin-to be aware of God's righteousness and His Love for them from all our lives.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for judging. Let me love those who just cannot see-let them see Your love for them in my life.

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
