Knowing He Hears You

Monday, May 1, ‎2023

Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Hebrews 11:6 New King James Version

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

Memory of the Month: John 10:27-28

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Today's reading: 1 KINGS 10-11 LUKE 21:20-38

Knowing He Hears You

There are many who allow themselves to be burdened with worry about their faith. Weak faith is a sign that we have much work to do-but-weak faith is still faith.

If you are one who worries-if you just cannot seem to let it go-this should be one of the greatest points of prayer for you.

Pray for others who have the same problem. Pouring yourself into the lives of others is one of the keys to living like Jesus. He poured His life out for all who were in need.

In John 17, Jesus prays for himself first-that God glorifies Himself in Him. Then he prays for the disciples followed by all other believers.

Pray for yourself first. Pray that you allow Him to accomplish that which will bring Him glory and good pleasure.(Hebrews 13:21)

Pray for the teachers and preachers you know-we always need prayer.

Then pray for those around you.

Get your heart set on others overcoming the world. Pray for them in trial and rejoice with them in victory.

Remember, the verse of the day(Hebrews 11:6) says, "for he who comes to God must believe that...

1. He is..."

2. He rewards those who diligently seek Him

When you pray, you are involved in the act of coming to Him-right? The fact that you are there is evidence of your faith even if you do feel weak and are allowing yourself to be plagued with doubt. And remember: Jesus said He would be with us until the end of the age, so, whether you 'feel' Him or not, God is undeniably right there with you all the time.

Again, take the weak thoughts captive and speak with God and listen-very important-stop and listen. Be still and listen. Remember this fact: God is...all you need and He never leaves you.

He wants us to be with Him-all the time.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

I confess my weak faith.

Take control of my fears and worries and grow my faith. Forgive my unbelief and strengthen my faith. I know You will...

Faithful and wonderful God!

In the name of Jesus,

Amen
