Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Colossians 3:13

bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

Memory of the Month: Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Today's reading: EZRA 1-2 JOHN 19:23-42

To Keep On Forgiving

Colossians 3:13 New King James Version

bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.

Bearing with one another-being tolerant, forgiving, patient.

You have to be patient with some of us. We may not quite understand things the same way you do. We may all study the same scripture for years and pray together over and over but never see what you see-never have the deep understanding that you have.

We are all so different and this is why Paul tells us to 'forbear' or 'bear' one another. Be patient with us. Forgive us when we repeat the same silly mistakes time and again. We just don't get it the way you do.

To continue to forgive is the deepest understanding because it comes from deep in God's love. If we understand much of the deep things in scripture but cannot forgive someone for something that comes from slow growth and shallow understanding, God's love is not made perfect in us. It also means we have not grown past the point of shallow judgement.

Our perspectives are all unique and we all have something unique to add to the conversation-and, we all have questions that sometimes may bore or aggravate.

So, bear with us-forgive us as we all live to forgive the way we have been forgiven.

Living life in constant judgement is misery.

Live to forgive.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for being quick to judge and lazy with forgiveness. Forgive me my ego and teach me more how to bear others.

Merciful and mighty God!

In the name of Jesus Christ,

Amen
