8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the 

truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and 

just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all 

unrighteousness.

Verse of the day:Romans 5:3-4 “We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”

The Right Question

“In Heaven, will we really have perfect bodies?” The question is yes. (Philippians 3:20,21) Our bodies will be incorruptible.(1 Corinthians 15:52,53)

I believe we let this question get in the way of what we should really be asking?

“Will we be more alive?” That is vague, isn’t it? But this is the question we I think we should ask.

1 Corinthians 13:12 says that we ‘see through a dark glass’ implying that what we understand now is just a just a shadow of what eternal life in Heaven is like.

God will wipe away all tears, and death, mourning, crying, and pain.(Revelation 21:4)

In God’s heavenly kingdom, we will be more alive than we can ever imagine here. Here, God’s gift of faith in our hearts carries us through all these tears, death, mourning, crying, and pain. Our freedom here has very little to do with the physical.

Galatians 5:1 says, “ It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”

This slavery is not of the body-it is slavery to sin.

Real freedom on this earth is allowing the Holy Spirit to govern our thinking-we have the mind of Christ(1 Corinthians 2:16).

But as long as we are here we have sin living in us(Romans 7:17,20).

We will have perfect bodies in Heaven but what we will praise God for, I believe, is complete joy in Him in His love and absolute freedom from the sin burdens of this life.

Tell God you want to know in a greater way, His freedom here in Christ as we dream of His perfect life of freedom in His Heaven with Him.

...because He loves us, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Teach me how to best lift up Your name from a full heart. Teach me more of Your kingdom. Build Your freedom in me today. Lead me from evil.
