Just Ask

Good Morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Psalm 27:14 Wait on the Lord; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the Lord!

Memory verse: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9).

Today's reading: JEREMIAH 37-39 HEBREWS 3

Ask For It

I remember using this scripture with young people:

3For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but bad. Do you want to be unafraid of the one in authority? Then do what is right,(Romans 13)

My definition of an 'adult' is: a child who has grown and learned how to wrap the child in adult behavior and appearance.(the child is, however, always present)

As time has progressed and the unhappy get more unhappy and angry, adult behavior has begun to disappear. We see adults on T.V. and they appear to 'look' adult but their behavior betrays early childhood traits. Politicians run for office and make fervent pleas as they turn their heads sideways('talking out the side of their mouths'). It is clearly 'playground' behavior.

As we see this all happen, we must go back to Romans 13 and add the first-two verses to the third:

1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God. 2Consequently, the one who resists authority is opposing what God has set in place, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but bad. Do you want to be unafraid of the one in authority? Then do what is right,(Romans 13)

If you hate someone who has been elected, read it over.

Hate has no place in the heart of the believer in Christ. That is a hard pill for many to swallow after an election but it is absolute. Hate has no place in the heart of the believer-anytime-ever...

Nehemiah 9:29 says, "...And they turned a stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck, and would not listen."

Proverbs 29:1 A man who hardens his neck after much reproof Will suddenly be broken beyond remedy.

Jeremiah 7:25-26

"Yet they did not listen to Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck; they did more evil than their fathers."

Some of you will not want to hear :Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God.

No man or woman has the control he or she thinks they have. Look at history. God has the final word and the enemy knows it.

Do you know it? Does your faith in God tell you that God has the final word?

Well..............................He does.

Get rid of the hate. Repent of the hate.

1 Thessalonians 5

16 Be joyful always-after you have repented, ask God for joy-ask for it-God commands it so He gives it;

17 Pray without ceasing- well?

18 Give thanks in everything-If God tells you to do something, He gives you the grace to carry it out.

Ask for it...

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for arguing with you; forgive me my hate; fill me with Your grace to be filled with joy and give thanks in all things as I learn to talk to You always.

Merciful God of complete grace!

In the name of Jesus,

Amen
