Hope-Now

If, with every step, we would hear, "It is now...". It is not yesterday. It is not tomorrow. If we could live without the baggage of yesterday and the world's worry of the security needed for tomorrow...

Oh wait...the Lord already said to do that. If He said for us to live this way, He gives us all we need to do just that.

Matthew 6:25 “For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? 26 Look at the birds of the air, that they do not sow, nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not worth much more than they?6

Matt. 6:33 But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

34 “So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Romans 15:13 Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Now, abound in hope. That is easy enough to read. So why is it so hard to live in a place here we abound with hope?

Our hope is not in earthly stuff but we get so caught up in providing for ourselves-so busy with making sure the money is there for provisions, sustenance, retirement. Yes, we have to work to consume it-but we cannot be consumed by it.

Our joy and peace comes from our God of hope-if we are diligently faithful to seek God and His kingdom, His word tells us that we will be filled(abound)with His hope-all by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Diligently faithful? This means that we keep returning to Him-coming back-living in Him-seeking Him.

God has taken all your past and washed it clean.

God is life now.

Tomorrow is nowhere unless it is in the Lord. Trust Him for it.

John 16:33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer: I have overcome the world.”

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me, Lord, for worrying.

Fill me with Your faith, Holy Spirit, that I may abound in Your hope.

Great God of Hope and Peace and Life!!

In the name of Christ,

Amen
