God's Own Heart

My knowledge is not the greatest but one thing I do know: there are no politics in God's kingdom.

God is love(1 John 4:8) and love never fails.

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8 Love never fails.(1 Corinthians 13)

Politics bring out the worst in people-dividing families and friends; politics are boastful and proud and seem to run from the truth-always; politics are full of anger, judgement, suspicion, doubt, and great hostility.

Ephesians 4:31 ►Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

Why is there no order? There is no peace.

1 Corinthians 14:33 ►For God is not a God of disorder but of peace.

So we must live in an environment that harbors this evil wickedness-politics-because we have created it?

This is like all other sin. If we argue that we are right, then we are wrong. God says who is right and He says that all have sinned and He says that he who is without sin, cast the first stone.

Arguing over wickedness(politics) will never make it righteous.

Only the hearts of politicians made righteous by the blood of Christ and walking with Him will ever change politics. This suggests that we start at home, first-in our own hearts and we all have a lot of work to do.

Can politics be of a peaceful and loving environment? Only if the hearts involved are Godly. We must pray for them.

This is what God said about one of the greatest kings in history:

Acts 13:22 New International Version (NIV)

22 After removing Saul, he made David their king. God testified concerning him: ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart; he will do everything I want him to do.’

Pray that we are after God's own heart and stop arguing about whatever it is...

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me my frustration and judgement in all this political stuff. I must concentrate on You. Break the back of the enemy's influence in the hearts of our leaders and their parties. Forgive us all.

Have mercy on us , great and mighty God.
