Free, but Costly

Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day:   Matthew 8: 15 He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and began to serve him.

Memory verse: Romans 8:32 ►

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Today's reading: GENESIS 25-26 MATTHEW 8:1-17

Free, But Costly

A.W. Tozer wrote "Let a Christian insist upon rising above the poor average of current religious experience and he will soon come up against the need to know God Himself as the ultimate goal of all Christian doctrine. Let him seek to explore the sacred wonders of the Triune Godhead and he will discover that sustained and intelligently directed meditation on the Person of God is imperative. To know God well he must think on Him unceasingly. Nothing that man has discovered about himself or God has revealed any shortcut to pure spirituality. It is still free, but tremendously costly." That Incredible Christian, 135.

Do you know someone you think is really close to God? We all have the same amount of hours in a day. Those who are really 'walking in the Spirit' are where they are because they are following Him. They consistently draw near to God and meditate on Him constantly.

It takes effort and resolve to never quit. It takes the mind of a person willing to put their heart fully into loving God.

God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for not being determined to love You with all I am. I resolve to put my whole heart into loving You,

Great and mighty God

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
