  Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: John 3:17

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.

Memory verse: Psalm 90:14

14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

Today's reading: 2 CHRONICLES 4-6 JOHN 10:24-42

Experience God

How do we build our faith, or, how do we grow and get stronger in our faith?

First, confess your weak faith to God and ask as the disciples of Christ did:

The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”(Luke 17:5)

Ask and keep asking-don't ever stop asking for more faith.

Next, I would go to Galatians 3(Expanded Bible)5 Does God give you the Spirit and work miracles among you ·because you follow [by the works of] the law? ·No, he does these things […or] ·because you heard the Good News and believed it [by your believing what you heard; v. 2

Why this? Before we can grow we must know that the Holy Spirit is alive in us. We do not grow faith by working at it-working at faith. We grow by seeking God(Matthew 6:33). We seek God by meditation and prayer and expecting God to reason with us.

Isaiah 1:18 ►"Come now, “let’s talk this over together.,” says the LORD...(Complete Jewish Bible).

Experience God and your faith will grow. Meditate on God and your faith will grow. Read the Bible letting the living Holy Spirit teach you as you read-in other words, listen as you read. Pray and listen...hear Him.

Depend on the Holy Spirit as you share God's word with folks.

Growing faith will not happen by following a set of rules that comes from the mind of man. Experiencing a good Holy Spirit-filled Bible teacher as you and the Holy Spirit reason together will grow your faith.

Growing faith means you are learning by experience-not by just academics.

This life in Christ is a walking, living relationship with Him in the person of the Holy Spirit. Growth is experiencing God in every movement and heartbeat of our lives.

Hear that? Feel that? It is the peace of God...

Faith comes by hearing...listen.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for trying to make it happen. Show me how to listen and seek You,

Oh, great and Holy God,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
