Divine Intention

Monday, January 20, 2025

Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-Your peace-Your knowledge and discernment. Build my trust. I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name...

Verse of the Day: James 1:2-3

2 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, 3 for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness.

Memory verse: Psalm 139:23–24 (ESV)

23  Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! 24  And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!

Today's reading: Genesis 49-50 Matthew 13:31-58

Divine Intention

As we talk about the different aspects of the heart of Christ that the Holy Spirit seeks to plant in us as we are being conformed into the image of Christ, I can imagine some who think that it will never happen to them-that it is just hard to imagine-or you don't feel as if you worthy. There are many other lies the enemy tries to get us to believe. This is where we have to stop trusting in our own judgement and trust in Christ. He always understands whether we do or not. His wisdom of us is complete. He knows your limitations-our limitations and-without any reservation-loves you completely. He knows-without a doubt-you can be changed from glory to glory into His image and all His power is behind this divine intention.

2 Corinthians 3:18 ►"And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit."

Don't just glaze over the 'unveiled part'.

15 "And even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord Christ, the veil is taken away.…"

The blindness of the lost heart is gone for us in Christ Jesus-the 'veil' of spiritual blindness is demolished in Jesus and His Holy Spirit-from one little glory to the next big glory-will do it.

Everyone has come from a dark place into the sun and for a split-second feels blinded-blinded by the light. Imagine trying to explain that to a person who physically cannot see. This is our job-our mission and the Holy Spirit gives us words and ways to get it done.

But we have to get used to being in the light. When we step in and out of the light because of sin, it is hard for us to adjust to the light. The light is so great and strong but this is where the Spirit gives great sight.

1 John 1:7 ►"But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin."

Desire His light-welcome His light-have joy in His reality.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come and may I do Your will.

Give me today my daily bread for Your work. Forgive me my  unbelief.

Lead me away from darkness.

God of all light in Your kingdom,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
