Confirm Culture

People use the term 'cancel culture' all the time. What is it?

Cancel, from the dictionary, means: efface, blot out, annul, expunge, nullify, quash, rescind, repeal, revoke, abrogate, obliterate. The people of the 'cancel culture' warn their people of all the 'conspiracy theories and theorists' who chase ghosts for the most part. Yes, there are those who uncover real conspiracies, but, we should stand back and see the real picture for what God says it is.

Revelation 12:10 ►Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Messiah. For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.

Luke 11:53-The religious scholars and Pharisees put constant pressure on Jesus, 54 trying to trap Him and trick Him into saying things they could use to bring Him down.

John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.

It has never changed and will not until the end of time or the consummation of the age or whatever you choose to call it-when Jesus comes back and this is all over. The enemy is here to cancel everything-but he cannot. All conspiracies have one source and that is the enemy-period.

The one conspiracy-Jesus alluded to it in Luke 10:18

:“I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven." The enemy was thrown out of Heaven for his conspiracy and has continued it here ever since.

Jesus gives us all we need to live in victory over this underlying conspiracy. It is in the dust under all wickedness and is stirred up to infect all who are not aware and if they are not 'God-conscious'(born of the Spirit of God and washed in the Blood of Christ), they will never be aware.

The 'cancel people' call themselves 'woke', among other things but this is what the scripture says about them:

Matthew 15:14 ►Leave them; they are blind guides. If the blind lead the blind, both will fall into a pit."

Ecclesiastes 10: 1As dead flies bring a stench to the perfumer’s oil, so a little folly outweighs wisdom and honor. 2A wise man’s heart inclines to the right, but the heart of a fool to the left. 3Even as the fool walks along the road, his sense is lacking, and he shows everyone that he is a fool.…

This is not written to condemn anyone. This is written to encourage us who believe. It is hard to listen to our condemnation from the mouths who breathe the dust of the enemy but it is relentless. It is everywhere but the most relentless is the accusing voice of the enemy in our ears. All he does is in effort to see us fall.

It is hard to hear encouragement when there is so much condemnation in the air-but-Jesus said that He has come to give us abundant life and He does just that-if we allow it. Yes, we have a choice to make: to listen to the divine and loving and wise voice of the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, or not-which means we have no protection.

Ephesians 6:10-18

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Whatever we might call it, the scripture calls it the 'flaming arrows of the evil one'. Whatever these may be at any time in your life, God provides all you need.

1 John 4:4

4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

1 John 5:4-5

4 for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.

The opposite of cancel is confirm. Our lives in victory is confirmation of the abundant life in Christ.

James 4:6 ►But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble."

We must learn to live with this on our lips and minds: "He has given me more grace"-Why? More grace to see ourselves in constant dependence on the power of God where we are under His hand in humility in His complete protection.

John 10:28 I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all; no one can snatch them out of my Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.”

Isaiah 41:1 Do do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

I confess that I fear too many things. Strengthen my faith and let me discover Your complete joy.

Mighty God of all protection!
