Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

9 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Inside Work

As we continue looking at the commands of Jesus, we have to make sure we dig deep and hear the Holy Spirit-the Spirit of Truth-make these commands as clear as we can understand.

Jesus tells us in Luke 17:10, “when you have done everything commanded of you, should say, ‘We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.”

In other words,(Jesus says) “When you have followed all my commands, you must honestly believe that you do not deserve my love-that in spite of all your work and accomplishments-you simply did your duty.”

This is our duty of love-to do all we can to please the object of our love(God in Christ) while peacefully and truly knowing in our hearts that God owes us nothing…

...while in full faith, joy, and satisfaction, we know He provides anything we can ever need here and forever.

This is all ‘inside work’. Jesus is teaching us that our lives cannot be lived for Him outside of the Holy Spirit’s attitudes. “That which is born of the Spirit is spirit...flesh is born of flesh”(John 3:6)

“We have the mind of Christ” (1 Corinthians 2:16)

While we are unworthy with sin living in us, we have the ‘Spirit-born, mind of Christ’ that can give us the righteous attitudes that bring us complete peace and satisfaction-if we seek His kingdom and His righteousness instead of our own .

If your mind fights against believing you are unworthy, that is natural to the fleshly-born pride of mankind.

Confess it before God and tell Him you want ‘Holy Spirit born humility.”

When we learn humility before God(Spirit humility), we are completely free to live humbly and completely satisfied in Him before the world.

...because God loves us...He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come and Your will be done in my life. Give me this day my daily need to overcome pride and live in Your Spirit. Forgive me for wanting the praise of the world. Lead me away from earthly emptiness.
