Good Morning, Lord

Verse of the Day:  Psalm 119:130

When Your words are unveiled, light shines forth;

they bring understanding to the simple.

Memory of the month:  Proverbs 15:1-A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Today's reading: PSALM 68-69 ROMANS 8:1-21

Paul writes in Romans 8:1-Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

The first five verses of Romans 8 tell us that mankind could do nothing to achieve righteousness. It could not be achieved by the law in our flesh. So what we could not do-save ourselves-God did by sending Christ as the ultimate offering for our sin. Sin in the flesh is conquered-finished-we are saved!

Our Christian beliefs in such a short space but it started with the victory-there is no condemnation for us in Christ.

The victory? It sounds so complete and final because it is. But-why is it so hard to live in that victory? We hear it all the time-all the struggles with sin-why is it so hard?

We still live in the flesh, plain and simple, we still live in the flesh. We are not condemned by it but as long as we are in the flesh there will be sin living in us. Paul had already said that in Romans 7:17 because he was preparing us.

God sent Jesus to die and deliver us from sin and death and then sent the Holy Spirit to indwell us until we are out of the flesh. The salvation of God and the deliverance of God-all done because you are as important as anyone in the world and God wants you to know it and live in this truth everyday.

God's love for us is complete. His plan is complete. He has covered everything. There are no arguments against God's plan for us that can stand.

If we are in Him, there is no voice in existence that can ever change the truth about God's salvation for us.

Are you in Him? Then tell someone else how to be in Him. If you are unsure, the Lord Jesus died on the cross and God raised Him from the dead so you could be-sure.

Clear all the smoke out between you and God and be sure. His love for you is like no other.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive my weak faith and poor attention-make it clear in my mind-there is no condemnation for me in Christ.

Have mercy on me , oh, great God of mercy!

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
