Call To Mind

Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day:   “The one who conquers, I will grant him to sit with me on my throne, as I also conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne.” (Revelation 3:21)

Memory verse: Romans 8:32 ►He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things?

Today's reading: EXODUS 7-8 MATTHEW 15:1-20


Call To Mind


"He won't..." "That will never happen..." "I can't..."

Whenever something bad happens, our 'positive thinking' tries to reason us out of dark thinking. That will never work as God wants it to.


God has a plan:

John 14:26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.

“But this I call to mind, and therefore I have hope: The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases” (Lamentations 3:21–22).

This plan of God has been called 'the ministry of reminding'.

Peter and Paul both gave 'reminding' as a reason for their writing:

2 Peter 1:13 I think it right, as long as I am in this body, to stir you up by way of reminder,

Romans 15:15

15 But on some points I have written to you very boldly by way of reminder because of the grace given me by God


God says, “Come now, let us reason together,” Isaiah 1:18

God invites us to remember His bountiful grace to us.


One promise we all have to cling to with all our hearts is that the Psalmist said, "He restores my soul."Psalm 23

This is another argument for consistency in our scripture memory and meditation and scripture reading-the urgency of a life consistent in seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness. Matthew 6:33


One of our recent memory verses was:

Philippians 4:8 ►Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Practice 'reminding' yourself-yes, the Holy Spirit will remind us-If WE ARE LISTENING-IF WE ARE CONSCIOUS OF GOD


Remind-remember-meditate on God's greatness. This is living a life of praise in His joy.


...because He loves us...


Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for trying to rationalize the hard stuff away. Teach me the absolute need for constant consciousness of You and Your relieving grace.
