A Glimpse Of Freedom

Wednesday, ‎October ‎12, ‎2022 Good Morning, Lord Verse of the Day: Proverbs 1:33 But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, And will be secure, without fear of evil.” Memory verse: “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9). Today's reading: ISAIAH 39-40 COLOSSIANS 4 A Glimpse Of The Freedom "Wrap your head around this". We all know what this means to us-to really grasp an understanding. Galatians 3:27 and Romans 13:14 both make reference to our 'putting on' Christ...wearing Jesus...but more than just metaphorically. Galatians 3:27 27 For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. Romans 13:14 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. 2 Corinthians 5:5 says we have been given the Holy Spirit as a guarantee. 2 Corinthians 5,Verse 14 says we are controlled by the love of Christ. Verse 17 says we are a new creation. 2 Corithians 5,Verse 18&19 says we have been given the ministry and message of reconciliation. In 2 Corinthians 5: 20&21 Paul pleads with us to be reconciled(Get right with God) so that we will realize His righteousness-become the righteousness of God in Christ. It takes some serious time and work to live like this-not just our heads, but our hearts-our entire beings must be involved. The key to any of this is to put on Christ before you try to wrap your head around anything. God has made a way for us to understand all this-not all at once but a bite at a time. The point is to keep reaching. Don't miss it. If something does not come at first, keep digging and praying and meditating until He gives you understanding and peace with it and He will. Paul wrote: 17 "I always pray to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ—to the glorious Father. I pray that he will give you a spirit that will make you wise in the knowledge of God—the knowledge that he has shown you."(Ephesians 1:17) Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Matthew 7:7-8 English Standard Version 7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. God has shown us the knowledge, Ephesians 1:17, that He has for us. Pray, then, that we gain this desire for the deep knowledge of the deep things of God-a glimpse of the freedom that is real for the believer. ...because He loves us... Father in Heaven, Give me understanding of Your word and Your ways and Your truth and let me retain it. I want to hang on until I understand. Give me the resolve to keep on and then do more for You. Merciful God of peace and strength! In the name of Christ Jesus, Amen
