All Can

‎Tuesday, ‎October ‎5, ‎2021

Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Isaiah 55:6

Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near.

Memory of the Month: Proverbs 15:1-A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.

Today's reading: ISAIAH 23-25 PHILIPPIANS 1

All Of Us Can

What keeps us from being all God wants us to be? What keeps us from doing all we can do for the kingdom of God?

Fear. If we had no fear of what would be said or what would happen to us, we could do anything.

Philippians 4:13 ►

I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

Where, then, is the disconnect? At what point in each of our lives is the place that stops our effective ministry? We must each identify what keeps us from doing what God wants us to do. All of us can find it and define it. If we are not obedient, it is always sin.

I did not say the point that keeps us from 'being all we can be'. This is a what keeps most of us from doing what God wants. 'Being all we can be' is what the natural man works for. Our narcissistic minds drive us to get what we want so we can be what we want to be.

God tells us who we are.

Galatians 4:7 “So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.”

Ephesians 1:3 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.”

Ephesians 2:4-5 “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions–it is by grace you have been saved.”

If a person is truly in Christ, that person-you and me-we can all do everything God wants us to do because we are who God says we are.

God does not lie.

Numbers 23:19

19 God is not man, that he should lie,

or a son of man, that he should change his mind.

Has he said, and will he not do it?

Or has he spoken, and will he not fulfill it?

The remainder of our lives can be spent one of two ways:

1. Being what we want to be

2. Being who God says we are

The rest starts now. What is your decision? What will you do? Will you do your will or God's will?

1 Thessalonians 5:16,17,18

16Rejoice always. 17Pray without ceasing. 18In all circumstances give thanks, for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.

All of us can-yes-all of us can. Will we?

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

I have wasted so much time on me. I want to desire Your will more than I can say. Fill me with Your courage and strength to do Your will. I know I can in You.

Patient God and merciful father,

In the name of Jesus,

Amen
