Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-Your peace-Your knowledge and discernment. Build my trust. I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name...

68 “Blessed be the Lord God of Israel,
for he has visited and redeemed his people
69 and has raised up a horn of salvation for us
in the house of his servant David,
70 as he spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets from of old,
Memory verse: Psalm 139:23–24 (ESV)
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! 24 And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!
Today's reading: Micah 1-3 Revelation 11
A Gift Of True Purpose
Christ came and gave us our real purpose. What is that real purpose for you and for me? Because if we know our real purpose, what could be more meaningful to any human being. That is what Jesus came for-to give us our real purpose-reunited with God the Father in Himself-Christ gave us this real purpose:
Colossians 1:18 "...He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything he might be preeminent."
Christ must be preeminent in all things-our job is to make sure we make Christ preeminent in everything-first in our lives and then to assure that the world around us knows this preeminence. This is our purpose.
eminence --A position of great distinction or superiority
Preeminence, then, is superiority over superiority-Jesus is over all things.
Colossians 2:9 (ESV)
9 "For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily".
Jesus is God, though He came as a human infant, Jesus is God-all power-all kindness-all fury-all gentleness-all wisdom and faithfulness.
Jesus is our infinite gift of purpose-though we may be weak and we may fall, if we return to Him, He will not fail to fill us with power for His ultimate purpose.
...because He loves us...
Father in Heaven,
Your name is my purpose. Your kingdom my home. Give me what I need today to fulfill the purpose you called me for. Forgive me for falling to my weaknesses. Lead me away from lethargy.
Great God of all,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
