Tuesday, ‎November ‎10, ‎2020 Good Morning, Lord V.O.D.: Job 37:5-6 God thunders marvelously with His voice; He does great things which we cannot comprehend. For He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth’; Likewise to the gentle rain and the heavy rain of His strength. M.O.M.: The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.—Romans 13:12 Today's reading: Jeremiah 50 Hebrews 8

People

One of our ladies lovingly reminded us in church one Sunday not to forget the people involved. When there is a traffic accident and you sit for long periods waiting and your anger and disgust for the situation grows, remember, there are people and lives in the middle of the trouble who need prayer. Lives may very well be at stake and families affected deeply. We may sit in line only worried about wasted time or our being late and people's lives may be changing forever. It is time to grasp the opportunity and pray for whatever is happening ahead.

While we approach the Thanksgiving holiday it is wise for us to always remember what we really have. We have a lot of stuff. We have a lot of food and cars and houses and climate control and all that stuff that makes us glad we live in our country and we should be thankful. But what would all this be without the people and relationships?

The space program is a good example. Satellites have been shot at the moon and mars and others are still flying and taking photographs of as many planets as possible and much is being learned but the greatest impact was when a man put his foot on the moon for the first time. Why? He was a living being with family on earth and friends and what else? Loving relationships-people who feared for the lives of their loved ones landing on a moon that has not yet yielded any profit.

The space program yielded many advancements in technology that has helped mankind and for that we can be thankful. But all of it happened because people got together and did it together in professional relationships.

Personal relationships can be the greatest blessings here on this earth.

I saw the moon over Cozumel from a ship but all I could think about was how much I wished my wife and children could see it. I have seen where half of a river runs out from deep in the earth but that drove me to get my children out later to see it with me.

God had all the heavenly beings around Him but still said this: "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness" Genesis 1:26 He created us to have relationships meaningful and lasting.

Just think about the people around you and the people who have come and gone. Thank God-even for the ones who give you the pain you can locate. Our lives are nothing without each other and the Lord. So, this holiday season and everyday after, don't miss one blessed minute. Notice every little difference. Savor it all.

Know that while you savor it all that God sees it with you and has His good pleasure in the love we share.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven, I miss so much feeling sorry for myself or just being selfish. Forgive me and let me see all the people around me with Your eyes, Eternally loving God, In the name of Jesus, Amen
