Simple Life
Monday, November 9, 2020 Good Morning, Lord V.O.D.: Hebrews 7: 24 but because Jesus lives forever, he has a permanent priesthood. 25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. M.O.M.: The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.—Romans 13:12 Today's reading: Jeremiah 48-49 Hebrews 7
Ours Is to Try and Give
Ours is a simple life. We live and love and work. We make it so hard, sometimes. Why?
We try to do life without God, or moreover, we try to be God in our own lives.
God’s nature is to show tender mercies-to bring people along with understanding. God corrects us when we are wrong. When we repent, He never brings our mistakes(sins) up again.
God is always involved in our lives. That simply tells us that we are to be involved in the lives of those He puts in our lives and we simply cannot do that when we are so self-centered.
So how do we keep from being so self-absorbed? Hebrews 5:11 says it is because we no longer try to understand. We stop trying to understand.
Hebrews 5:14 implies that the ‘mature’(believers) train themselves by use of ‘solid food’. Solid food is Biblical teaching that takes the basics and seeks deeply into God’s wisdom-the wisdom He intends for all of us.
Simple? Yes, it is. How? Try and do not stop trying. Dig, study, pray, seek, learn, practice, praise-find out a little more each day-each heartbeat what this means in your heart while you pour your life into those around you.
Never stop trying. Never give in to discouragement. God is always bigger than any negative. He is so far above sin and discouragement.
God is all power and all encouragement. There is plenty for each of us-all we have to do is clear our thoughts for Him to teach us. Concentrate-meditate-seek…
…because He loves us…
Father in Heaven, Give me more and more resolve to never give up or let go-to always grasp when I get discouraged and never let go. Thank You for never letting go of me. You are so loving and mighty and forgiving! Thank You, thank You, thank You! Precious Father, In Jesus’ name, Amen
