Never Come The Day

‎Friday, ‎September ‎18, ‎2020 Good morning, Lord V.O.D.: Philippians 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself. Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. M.O.M.: The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light.—Romans 13:12 Today's reading: Ecclesiastes 4-6 2 Corinthians 12

Never Come the Day

A friend was telling me of his awe of the Word of God and how God always makes something appear that he has not seen before-even after reading the same passage many times.

If we are listening-if we are really hearing what we read-it will happen every time. But if we are reading to simply fulfill our quota, we could walk a way without what God has for us. Confess and be free. If you don't, wrestle with God until you realize your are not hearing because your ears are full of the world. Get it out in the name of Jesus and then read the word and hear God speak directly to you.

Pray the day never comes when you read the word of God and nothing sticks out. Be on the ball. Expect to see new things. Slow down. Relax. Let God's word feed you. There is nothing more important in a day than the time we take with God, alone.

Did you read that? Did you hear it? There is nothing you will do today that is of greater value to your soul-the only thing that you 'will take with you'-than the time you focus on God. It can be in the morning. It can be anytime and it can be all the time. But nothing will ever be greater in our lives than our attention to the Living Heart of God.

Yes, you will do great things for the kingdom and meet the needs of many but the basic need of your soul is to be fed by God's love and wisdom so the rest of it will not wear you down.

Never come the day!

Plead with God to do all to keep your attention always. Listen, read, pray, walk with God as you live and you will really, really live.

...Because Jesus died that we might live...

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven, Lord, forgive me for not listening-keep my attention, whatever it takes. I want to hear. I want to know whatever You want for me to do Your will. Father and Lord of all-mighty God! In the name of Christ Jesus, Amen
