Good morning, Lord

V.O.D.:  Isaiah 9:6

For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.

M.O.M.:  Ephesians 4:31

31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice.(English Standard Version)

Today's reading:  HAGGAI 1-2 REVELATION 17

Unwrap

For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son so that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

Much has been written on the real reason for Christmas. In our minds we say we know what that reason is. In our heart of hearts-way in there where you are who you really are-what do you believe?

There is no reason for Christmas without Jesus but the world continues to attempt to bleach Christ out of everything.

Again, what do you believe?

God gave His son so if we accept His reality we can live forever.John 3:16

While we were lost in our sin, Jesus died for us. Romans 5:8

If we believe what we say and say that Jesus is Lord and believe God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved. Romans 10:9

This are the basics. This is Christianity 101. But getting from written word to beaten path is hard. Living according to God's word is where the peace becomes real. The 'peace on earth' that the angels spoke from the sky to the shepherds is not just part of a song or lines in a book.

Jesus is the Prince of Peace. He is the ultimate gift. Upon receiving Him in our lives, we should learn quickly that there are many other gifts to unwrap. Gifts for living in this world of sin while we walk in faith are ours if we unwrap them. We have the whole armor of God to use every moment but only if we unwrap. Gifts for certain ministries are given-gifts no other human being can use-because God only made one you. No person can do your job in the family of God the way you can.

God's peace is ours. The peace from His heart is ours to unwrap and wear and live in. His peace works like a regulator. The Holy Spirit, will govern our lives with His peace. He keeps a Holy hand on our emotions and seasons our words with the salt of love and compassion.

Isaiah 60:17 ►

I will make peace your governor and well-being your ruler.

Peace and well-being...from God's own heart...with the mind of Christ...with the gifts of the Spirit...the fruit of the Spirit...the armor of God...marked by the Holy Spirit as His...

Unwrapping does not just happen on this day. It happens everyday of our lives-if-if we consciously seek Him and His kingdom and His righteousness.

Have a happy time unwrapping today. Have a goal to unwrap everyday, all day long. God gave a life time of discovering and growing and building to each and all of us. He loves you as much as anyone on this earth.

By next Christmas, do you expect to be in a greater place in your life in Christ or do you simply want to maintain? Maintain, by all means-maintain and grow, absolutely. That bubble of grace-that 'well-being' in peace is found in a life of obedience and humility before God.

Go ahead-give God your complete attention and your will-give God your control.

Reach for God's peace and unwrap today...and everyday.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Forgive me for feeling sorry for myself. Get me out of my focus. You are Lord!

Gracious and giving God!

In the name of Jesus,

Amen
