Memory of the Month: Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Humility in Love
Have you ever known someone who seemed to feel as if the world 'owes them something?
There are those of such a mind. But before we chase that rabbit, we need to check our own feelings toward those who feel so 'entitled'.
Today's verse: Romans 13:8 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law.
We may think we do not owe anyone anything but the scripture tells us a different story. We owe them love-not disgust and hate.
Remember: 'the enemy comes to steal and destroy', (John 10:10). What happens when we hold hard feelings against the ones who speak ill of whom we are or what we believe? We have allowed the enemy the chance to steal our peace and ruin our influence.
What happens if we publicly speak ill of those who hate us? We have allowed the enemy to destroy our 'righteous voice'-our reputation as one who loves all.
A child of God who loves unconditionally-this is who we are supposed to be...
Colossians 4:…5Act wisely toward outsiders, redeeming the time. 6Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Why?1 Peter 3:15 ►But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect,
We owe love to all because our God, our Lord, is Love.
We may have the 'right' in America to say what we want-but-in Christ, we have no such right. We have an obligation to tell the truth as the Lord leads. We have been given 'more grace' with which to answer the world: James 4:6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says:
“God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble."
We owe humility in love.
"Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law."(Romans 13:8)
...because He loves us...
Father in Heaven,
Forgive me when I hastily judge and leave the door open for hate. Teach me to treasure Your peace and from that peace to at least speak humbly in love-always.
