Beginnings
Monday, June 20, 2022 Good morning, Lord Verse of the Day: Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.—Psalm 34:3 Memory of the Month: Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Today's reading: ESTHER 1-2 ACTS 5:1-21 Beginnings Philippians 1:21 “For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.” Paul writes the richness but simplicity of the Christian thought in Corinthians; it is all rich but there are some things here which nail down God's wisdom which is a must for long spiritual health. Verse 2, 1 Corinthians 1, tells us that it is not just for the folks in Corinth but all everywhere. Since all is orchestrated by God, it is not at all curious that Psalm 102 says: 18 Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord: 19 “The Lord looked down from his sanctuary on high, from heaven he viewed the earth, 20 to hear the groans of the prisoners and release those condemned to death.” So from 1 Corinthians 1:2, we get that the message of Christ is for all everywhere and all times. Some argue the validity of our message for our times--the validity is proven--if you believe the scripture-if you belong to Jesus. Verse 7 says all the spiritual gifts are in our possession. Paul goes on to say in vs. 8 & 9 that: God is faithful. He will keep you firm to the end. You will be blameless on the Day of our Lord Jesus Christ. He speaks to obvious problems and encourages all of us to be one in mind and thought. These problems are around us all the time. I do not believe that we must 'agree to disagree', (that speaks of denial, deceit, and compromise), but to love each other no matter what. Verses 27-31, 1 Corinthians 1, speaks to the wisdom of the world and that we have God's wisdom. Paul writes: 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not —to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.” These are basics(beginnings) in our walk with Christ: Any real living is living for Christ. God's message is for all. God is faithful-all spiritual gifts are for us all. God will keep you firm and blameless to the end. We are to be of one thought and mind-to love each other no matter what. Christ Jesus 'is' or wisdom from God-our righteousness, holiness and redemption. ...because He loves us.. Father in Heaven, Forgive me my scattered focus. I claim your righteousness, holiness and redemption-Your wisdom for me. May my life show your wisdom in humility. God of all wisdom. In Christ Jesus' name, Amen
