Absolute Prayer

Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-Your peace-Your knowledge and discernment. Build my trust. I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Today's reading: Exodus 23-24 Matthew 20:1-16
Absolute Prayer
I want us to consider how complete prayer is.
First, when we go before God in complete humility our lives are completely laid out before Him. We are faced with admitting all our weaknesses and sins or we sever the connection. God cannot abide sin.
Isaiah 59:2 “But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden his face from you so that he does not hear.”
In Christ, we approach God with sorrow for our sins seeking His grace and He knows our hearts and accepts us and forgives.
Once we get past our sin, we must see ourselves in prayer before Him as cleansed-clean-perfect because of Christ in us.
Prayer is a place where nothing in our existence remains the same. That is because we are free to see in the fullness of God’s reality. We use God’s perception of troubles and pain and know that He will work it all to our good(Romans 8:28).
Any time we humble ourselves before God in the name of Christ Jesus, we are in His absolute power-His absolute love-His absolute peace.
How can we not pray? How can we not find that secret place God has for each of us? How can we live the life in Christ without having a time of just sitting before God in His absolute presence?
This is the launching pad for each day-this is the place where we start to consume the ‘bread’ for the day. The place where God charges our hearts and minds to walk consciously of Him constantly.
Prayer is where God absolutely assures us we are never alone and so our confidence is held in His hand and is filled and recharged moment by moment.
What an amazing God we serve-how absolute…
...because He loves us...
Father in Heaven,
Hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come and your will be done in my choices. Give today my daily bread and forgive me for my poor discipline. Lead me from the enemy.
God of power and might and gentleness,
In the name of Christ Jesus,
Amen
