Meditate

Sunday, ‎June ‎7, ‎2020 Good morning, Lord V.O.D.: Isaiah 66:2 Has not my hand made all these things, and so they came into being?" declares the LORD. "These are the ones I look on with favor: those who are humble and contrite in spirit, and who tremble at my word. M.O.M.: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. John 14:27 In a year: 2 Chronicles 30-31 John 18:1-18

Meditation

Many types of meditation have been done in this world by folks of different religions and sects and in many walks of life and done for different reasons.

Most are done from self-centered reasons than any other. People 'center' themselves so they can be peaceful on the inside and this is a good reason. People meditate so they can be focused on what they think is the most important thing in life.

As we think about meditation, we must remember:

Proverbs 14:12 King James Version (KJV) 12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. Romans 14:23 ►and everything that does not come from faith is sin.

Mankind contrives things over the ages that look good and feel good and then it becomes a way of life. But if something is made up by man-that means it has been added by man-not God.

What should the reason be for meditation? Psalm 104:34 says, "May my meditation be sweet to Him".

Joshua 1:8 ►Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Meditation should be sweet to God first-then we will be filled with His peace.

When we meditate on His word and His heart as we seek His kingdom, we will be prosperous and successful in His kingdom-in His kingdom-not ours.

God's love is all about us-our love is to be all about God.

Psalm 23-He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name sake...

For His name sake-not ours.

Meditate on God-on His love and peace and mercy-find out what God's word says about meditation and then find out what a joy His meditation can be.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven, Teach me how to sit at Your feet and think about You and how to get my world and my wants off my mind so that my meditation may be sweet to You. Sweet God of mercy and grace. In the name of Jesus Christ. Amen
