Worthy Or Not?

Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Ephesians 2:6 “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”

Verse of the day: Psalm 56:4

4 In God, whose word I praise,    in God I trust; I shall not be afraid.    What can flesh do to me?

Worthy or Not?

Whoever loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me, and whoever loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.” Matthew 10:37

This verse tells us at least two things. Number one is the command of Jesus to love Him. Some say we cannot be commanded to love. The natural man cannot be commanded but the born again believer of Christ Jesus is a new creation with the ‘mind of Christ’(1 Corinthians 2:16) which is more than capable and ready to love Jesus with all that we are.

Number two is that, opposite of many teachings, we can be worthy of Christ-if we love Him more than any person on this earth.

How can I love Jesus more than my gifted wife or my great children? How can I not? Unless I love Jesus the way He commands, I cannot love my loved ones as I should. If I do love Jesus more than them, I am using the mind of Christ and am worthy of Him.

The sin living in us tells us we cannot love Jesus this much. The enemy will always say this. The enemy will also tell us we are never worthy of Christ.

The Mind of Christ tells us the opposite. We can love Him this much and we are worthy.

He says it right there in scripture-and the Holy Spirit tells us-if we are listening.

Tell Him you want to understand with the Mind Of Christ.

...because He loves us...He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come and Your will be done in my heart in loving Christ with all my heart. Let me be conscious of the Mind of Christ today. Forgive me for listening to the enemy. Lead me away from listening to him.

Loving Master and God,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
