Wisdom For You
Thursday, September 10, 2026
Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, open my heart and mind, Holy Spirit. Fill my consciousness and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…
Memory verse: 1 John 1:8–9
8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the
truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and
just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all
unrighteousness.
Verse of the day—Titus 2:2 “Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love, and in endurance.Today’s reading: Proverbs 8-9 2 Corinthians 3
Wisdom to All
Reading and understanding scripture is a gift given by God through the Holy Spirit, John 10:13, so why don’t we write it in our own words? Would that be a sin? No-if you do it in a manner pleasing to God-with a pure heart with righteous motives. Just ask God to help you write down what a verse means. Just write down what you hear. Here are some examples:
Proverbs 10:11 "The speech of the righteous is a fountain of life, but the speech of the wicked is a cover for violence."
but love covers all kinds of transgressions."
Proverbs 10:17 "He who observes discipline is on the way to life; but he who ignores correction is making a mistake."
Proverbs 10:19 "When words are many, sin is not lacking;
so he who controls his speech is wise."
(Be wise, listen, and only say what you need to say-folks who talk all the time have something to hide"
In God's kingdom, we are taught and should teach to love folks(bless and not curse), repent when you sin, don't hide behind words-let your yes be yes and your no be no(Matthew 5:37)-tell the truth or don't speak.
Think about teaching God’s word to children-ask yourself, “How would I teach this to a 4 year old”. Break it down to simple language-it is amazing how much you will learn.
Tell God that you really want to hear His message for you when you read your Bible.
...because He loves us, He will do it,
Father in Heaven,
Hallowed-I my heart to hallow Your name and I want Your will to be done in my life. I want to know Your kingdom's presence. Let me have wisdom to use Your wisdom for today. Forgive me my many words and let my tongue and my heart rest.
Patient God,
In the name of Jesus,
Amen
