  Good morning, Lord

Verse of the Day: Proverbs 31:10, 27-28

Who can find a virtuous wife? For her worth is far above rubies.

Memory verse: Psalm 90:14

14 Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

Today's reading: 2 KINGS 19-21 JOHN 4:1-30

Who God Really Is

Our ultimate purpose is to glorify God.

1 Corinthians 10:31

"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God."

We cannot glorify God without loving Him with all we are and without loving our neighbor. Matthew 22:37&38

Our neighbor should be able to see God's glory in us by His power.

Let's take a few of the fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22&23.

Love- The power to love our neighbor is in the fact we have been satisfied with God's love for us and we love with with all our heart.(Psalm 90:14-"Satisfy us in the morning...")

Joy-God's power will be seen in how God's joy  keeps us strong in troubled times. Nehemiah 8:10("...the joy of the Lord is my strength...")

Peace-Colossians 3:15 ►Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

God is most glorified when we are most satisfied in Him and the world around each of us can see that in a second by the peace in our demeanor.

There is so much of God's power to be seen in us as we display peace facing personal challenges and that is only real because we are living in the great satisfaction of His inexplicable peace.

Our lives are to show the world who God really is: gloriously merciful and satisfying.

He is gloriously merciful in our salvation. He is gloriously satisfying when we live obediently and walk humbly before Him.

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Satisfy me in the morning with Your amazing love as I learn to humble myself and learn to live in the way that glorifies You. Forgive my negative reluctance.

Amazingly glorious God,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
