Verse of the Day: 2 Peter 3:10-11 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
Memory verse: Philippians 4:8 ►Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

What Do You Think?
If I spend my time worrying about what someone else thinks of me, it is time wasted. That is rather plainly said but what is this about? The sad truth is that a lot of people spend the majority of their lives worrying about what they look like to the public. That amounts to a lot of wasted life-time.
(Now, I must say this: Yes, I know that we must behave properly before the world. 1 Peter 2:12 "Keep your conduct honorable among the Gentiles..." Today, I speak to those of us who are working for worldly acceptance... )
Hebrews 9:14 How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
This passage means that the perfect blood of our perfect Lord Jesus Christ cleanses us from all the sin leading up to acts that lead to death-or the stuff we consider as 'lesser' sins-such as wasting our time on what others think of us.
With what should our minds be occupied? Seek first the kingdom of God...Matthew 6:33.
Philippians 4:8 ►Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
What is excellent or praiseworthy? Our Lord is worthy.
Psalm 145
1 ...I will exalt You, my God, the King,
and I will bless Your Name forever and ever.
2 Every day I will bless You,
and praise Your Name forever and ever!
5 I will meditate on the glorious splendor
of Your majesty and Your wonders.
Yes, it takes work-breath to breath-heartbeat to heartbeat-but we must work on our 'God-consciousness' so that we are not concerned about what anyone thinks but are concerned about what God thinks-our Divine Master has us in the palm of His hand. What God thinks is all we need to know.
...because He loves us...
Father in Heaven, Holy and mighty God,
Forgive me for worrying about what the world thinks of me. Help me learn to occupy my mind with You and Your kingdom.
Kind and gentle Lord of all,
