Truth, Freedom, Peace

Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, open my heart and mind, Holy Spirit. Fill my consciousness and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: 1 John 1:8–9

8 If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the

truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and

just to forgive  us our sins and to cleanse us from all

unrighteousness.

Verse of the day: “Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.”—1 Peter 2:10

Today’s reading: Philemon 1

Truth, Freedom, Peace

Being set free means that in Christ-truly under the Holy Spirit's power-we are free from fear.

Psalm 65:7

Who stills the roaring of the seas,

The roaring of their waves,

And the tumult of the peoples.

God's truth means freedom and peace in human confrontation.

Truth means freedom and peace.

John 14:27 ►Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

2 Corinthians 3:17

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. ...and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom...My peace I give you-”

The truth sets us free and where the Spirit of the Lord is...there is freedom and His peace.

Truth is, then, freedom and peace and this is the Spirit of the Lord.

Matthew 6:33 ►But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

When we pour ourselves into seeking His kingdom and righteousness-seeking Him with all we are-we will be under the Holy Spirit's leading and are living in truth. No other place will we find truth except under His hand.

1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

When we are humbled under His hand, there is no truth but His. Our God is love and grace and truth-freedom and peace. It is all ours in Christ Jesus...

...because He loves us...

Father in Heaven,

Help me lift up your name. Let me be faithful to Your kingdom. Have mercy on me and forgive me for not living under Your hand in Your truth.

Father of all real truth,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
