Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Psalm 27:13-14 (NIV)

I remain confident of this, I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Verse of the day: Romans 12:2

2 “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.”

To See Real Glory

To let our light shine before others so they will glorify our Father in Heaven(Matthew 5:13-16), two things must happen.

First, we must know the glory of God in our own lives. This cannot be faked. The second thing that must happen is that the world around us sees that our good works are motivated by something they cannot explain-God’s glory. That is the reason that the reality of God’s glory in us cannot be faked.

So, for God’s glory to be real in us we must see His real glory. This goes far beyond the visual beauty of this world. Each week millions of people gather to glorify athletes. We have a love affair with glory which exists in this sinful world.

When we look at all Jesus did on this earth we have to conclude that His work was to show the greatness and the beauty of the full range of God’s perfections. But His greatest work, His greatest glory was when redeemed us from the guilt and the power of sin (Mark 10:45) and provided forgiveness (Matt. 26:28) and eternal life (John 3:14– 15).

In John 12:23, Jesus said, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified.”

Seeing God’s real glory gets us right back to our basics-seeing God for who He is in the intimate setting He wants with us. We will not see the glory of God until we earnestly look for it with our eyes completely off the world and ourselves so we can see God the way He wants us to. God wants us to feel His glory in our lives-experience His love as living power that flows from us(John 7:38,39).

We must make this a matter of much prayer. God, put me in a place where I can see Your glory.

...because He loves you, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

I want to more hallow Your name and know Your kingdom and desire to do Your will better. Give me today what You know I need. Forgive me for ignoring Your glory. Lead me from evil.

Endlessly loving God,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
