Good morning, Lord
Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…
Memory verse: Ephesians 2:6 “And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus.”
Verse of the day: James 3:17-18
17 “But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. 18 And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.”
Today’s reading: 1 Chronicles 7-9 John 6:22-44
Those Who Make Peace
Our verse of the day above is James 3:17&18 and defines divine wisdom in us.
First is purity. Pure wisdom means it is free from un-Godly thoughts. Anything that does not comes from God is not divine wisdom-our worldly understandings, desires, conditionings don’t have anything to do with God’s wisdom. This means when we must make a decision we base it on God’s word to us.
“Peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits…” I put these together because to separate them seems pointless. To be open to reason means that our hearts must be full of peace, gentle and merciful, all inside the fruit of the Spirit(Galatians 5:22&23.)
Polarizing opinions brings politics and dissension. These have no place in God’s perfect wisdom which is impartial. Only God’s word is true.
This brings sincerity-divine and holy sincerity. If a decision is to be made, all outside influence must be gone from our minds. We must know that God’s righteousness in Christ Jesus by the counsel of the Holy Spirit brings us divine clarity and righteous sincerity.
It is sin to let selfish desire block God’s wisdom.
Tell God you want His wisdom and all that means to your way of thinking.
...because He loves us...He will do it,
Father in Heaven,
Your name is all wisdom. Your kingdom come and Your will be done in Your wisdom. Give me today the will to use Your wisdom. Forgive me for not listening to You. Lead me away from stubborn self wants.
God of all wisdom,
In the name of Jesus,
Amen
