Good morning, Lord

Father in Heaven, I seek You first-the knowledge of Your kingdom and Your righteousness. Fill my consciousness constantly and complete Your joy in me as I take up my cross and follow...In Jesus' name…

Memory verse: Jeremiah 15:19 ESV

Therefore thus says the Lord: “If you return, I will restore you, and you shall stand before me. If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as my mouth. They shall turn to you, but you shall not turn to them.”

Verse of the day: Philippians 1:9-10

9 And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ,

Today’s reading: Isaiah 9-10 Ephesians 3

The Supremacy

Render to Caesar that which is Caesar’s and to God that which is God’s”

This all comes down to these questions for me:

Does my life show the desire in my heart to exalt the supremacy of God and His Son, Christ Jesus, above all earthly things-all things and people and authorities?”

How about you?

Is it the desire of our hearts to let this command bind us to the Kingship of Christ?

Do our hearts desire this command of Christ to warrant and limit and shape the way we render allegiance to “Caesar”?

Have we realized the freedom, the fearless freedom, this command gives us to live ‘as aliens’(1 Peter 2:11) in this world as citizens of God’s spiritual kingdom-not escaping from or conforming to this world-but living out the radical difference that our King, Christ Jesus, makes in our every relationship including our relationship with our nation?

Try to relax as you look inward and know that God feels your heart. God’s desire for us is to move forward constantly-toward Him and He knows our weaknesses and offers His complete love and strength to overcome any and all weaknesses.

Magnifying God in Christ in our lives because we love Him with all we are is the cry of God’s heart.

Pray that God gives you the desire to live in this, His, reality.

...because He loves us, He will do it…

Father in Heaven,

Give me the desire to magnify Your name as I love You with all I am as I realize You as my King in Your kingdom. I want to obey You. Give me today what I need to live for You. Forgive me my fears. Lead me away from evil.

Mighty King and Lord of all,

In the name of Christ Jesus,

Amen
